Ross

Hello, my name is Ross, and my major is in Spanish. I started studying Spanish in highschool, like many people in California. Last year I went to Barcelona to live for a year. I don't think I could have done this with so much success without learning the language. In the future I plan to become a Spanish teacher and have plans for next year to start a Masters degree in education with a credential in the language.

Erik

I studied Spanish because I wanted to improve my skills in the language. I love Spanish literature from the middle ages and the golden century. The Spanish Department at UC Davis is incredible and I would recommend it to anybody who wants to study Spanish here. I use Spanish every day with my costumers and employees that speak the language. After graduating I plan to enroll in the Screenplay Writing program at UCLA. I hope to be able to write scripts about the literature I have studied here in Davis.

Roberto

Hello, my name is Roberto López. I am currently a student in the Masters program, but I also received a BA in the Spanish Department. I studied Spanish but also literature because the professor are charismatic and friendly. That attracted me not only to the language but to the literature in general as well. After I took a few classes, the love for the literature grew and I decided to continue with the Masters. In the future I would like to continue with a PhD, but for now my main goal is the MA. Well, I hope you like the Spanish program here.

Dalia

Hello, my name is Dalia Magaña. I obtained a major in Spanish here. Since Spanish is my heritage language, I wanted to have an academic preparation in the language. Now, I am doing my graduate studies here and hope to be able to do research in bilingualism and continue to teach Spanish. Thank you.
