Transatlantic Studies

Professor Newcomb co-edits New Book

Professor Robert Patrick Newcomb is a co-editor, along with professors Cecilia Enjuto Rangel, Pedro García-Caro (both University of Oregon), and Sebastaan Faber (Oberlin College; Ph.D. in Spanish, UC Davis), of a new volume Transatlantic Studies: Latin America, Iberia, and Africa, published by Liverpool University Press. The 35 essays collected in Transatlantic Studies address the role of transatlantic approaches in the fields of Iberian, Latin American, African, and Luso-Brazilian studies, and reframe the intertwined cultural histories of the diverse transnational spaces encompassed by the former Spanish and Portuguese empires.
