Jeroen Dewulf (UC Berkeley): In Search of the 'Lingua Franca' of Manhattan's First Enslaved African Community

Jeroen Dewulf is Queen Beatrix Professor in Dutch Studies at the UC Berkeley Department of German. Dewulf is also the director of UC Berkeley's Institute of European Studies and its Center for Portuguese Studies. In addition, he is an affiliated researcher with the University of Lisbon, Portugal, and its Department of History.
