More than 10 million people speak Spanish in California; many are heritage speakers, meaning they learned the language at home, within their families from their parents and grandparents. However, this Spanish is sometimes questioned and has created the phenomenon of "no sabo kids." This special report is a journey through the linguistic history of the state and how Spanish, regardless of how it is spoken, reflects culture and identity.
