Graduate Student Grayson Ward presents at the Kentucky Foreign Language Conference 2025

Grayson presented “La representación de las cucarachas en la narrativa de Guadalupe Nettel.” At the Kentucky Foreign Language Conference (KFLC) in Lexington, Kentucky at the University of Kentucky, April 17-19, 2025.

He states: "I presented "La casa como nación: la entomofagia como práctica necropolítica en 'Guerra en los basureros' de Guadalupe Nettel" at the 78th Kentucky Foreign Language Conference in Lexington, Kentucky. This was a wonderful opportunity to learn about other current topics of interest in the field of Latin American literature as well as to meet academics from all over the Midwest and Southern United States. It also highlighted to me the importance of engaging with other Spanish departments from states that otherwise don't receive as much attention on the national academic stage, because they are also producing high-quality and innovative work that merits the attention of our peers.
